Directions to Sonora Ave. restaurants

From the Cultural Center to Tijuana's "restaurant row" (one of two) , Sonora Ave. - Argelato, Tabule, Cafe Saverios, Baja Med Bistro, Cafe de la Flor From The Cultural Center, walk southeasterly along Paseo de los Heroes past Plaza Rio Shopping center to the next glorieta (traffic circle). At the glorieta, turn right, and follow Cuauhtemoc Sur Oeste southwesterly for 5 blocks until you reach Agua Caliente. Caution: Cuauhtemoc Sur Oeste between Sanchez Taboada and Agua Caliente has a set of what I call "killer stairs" (no handrails!). If this sort of thing makes you uneasy, detour to one of the other streets. At Agua Caliente (there is a Banamex on the farside corner to the left), cross Aqua Caliente, turn left and walk approximtately 4 blocks. You are walking toward the racetrack. Auga Caliente will divide into 2 one-way streets, Salinas and Agua Calient - just keep walking on Agua Caliente, the traffic is going in the same direction you are. A few blocks after the split, you will see Sonora Ave. on your right, there is a gray picket fence there. If you reach the Twin Towers Hotel, you've gone too far. Turn right and walk down about 1/2 block you will find Argelato and Tabuleon your left. Further down, on the right side of the street, you will come first to Cafe Saverios, then Baja Med Bistro, then Cafe de la Flor.
