Take the Azul and Blanco (blue and white) bus, Route 1 or 2 to Las Playas

Bus fare is 4 1/2 pesos, about 45 cents (June 2002). The drivers accept U.S. currency.

Get off the trolley at the end of the line in San Ysidro, follow the crowd Westward, over the footbridge attached to the Immigration & Customs Building. The footbridge passes over interstate 5 and you can look to your right from the top of the bridge and see the line of cars waiting to enter Mexico; on your left you will see an even longer line of cars waiting to exit Mexico. As the ramp descends, it loops around so you are facing East. When you reach street level again, turn right (south) and go through the turnstiles and you're in Mexico! Keep walking in a straight line southerly. When the mural on the wall on your right ends, turn right (to the west) and walk maybe 100 ft. and exit through the turnstile. Straight ahead, across the street, you will see a sign that says Statue at Playas de Tijuana"Welcome to Tijuana, Mexico" and a sign for the "Perfume Shop." Cross the street so that you are on the sidewalk in front of the "Welcome to Tijuana" sign. Once on the sidewalk, turn left and follow the sidewalk, you will see a street sign at Frontera and Amistad, and you will walk past a liquor store called Licores la Palma. At Pan Don Pedro, cross the street using the pedestrian crossing. You will see a tiny key shop - "laves" and buses off to the right. When you reach the sidewalk, turn to the LEFT and walk just 20-30 feet along the sidewalk. A traffic circle will be in front of you. If you keep walking another 15 feet, you will see the word "Playas" written on the sidewalk. That's the busstop for Playas. Hop on the next bus that says "Playas."

You can also catch this bus along 3rd Street in downtown Tijuana. It will stop for 5 minutes about 75 ft. West of the NW corner of 3rd and Niños Heroes.

Watch for the bullring and get off when you see it and walk toward it.

El Yogurt Place

El Yogurt Place is just North-East of the bullring, very close to the U.S. border.

La Terraza Vallarta

Take the road parallel to the ocean and walk North. La Terraza Vallarta is the last restaurant on the ocean side just prior to the U.S. border.
